Project update - Cirque des Carreaux

Wonder of wonder, miracle of miracles I'm actually back to working on this project !!!!! I'm doing the dark purple part and had also started filling in the small diamond next to it but made a major mistake so "froggie came a courting" :)
The plan is to do the other large section in the middle the same purple color and the two smaller diamonds a medium peachy color. Going with the really light peachy color in my bedspread does not work. I'm still debating whether I want to add in the pale blue from my bedspread.
This is a lovely pattern to work with but my brain and eyes are still telling me I am nuts to be attempting a miniaturized version :)

LofS pincushion swap update

My package from Latha arrived last night. I feel totally spoiled. She made 2 pincushions for me and embroidered an Easter wall hanging as well. I think she also added the flower petals onto the pins. The little pincushion is magnetic and is currently being used to hang the little wall hanging on my freezer door in the kitchen.

Stofnest Sampler #9 - update

I'm almost done with this project. Just have to do some bits in the bottom border. There are pockets top and bottom for hanging rods.

Christmas ornament - Peace Joy Love tree pillow

My kids are on spring break this week so I am trying to finish up some of the small projects I stitched last year. This is what I would call a "tree pillow" i.e. it sits on a branch as opposed to hanging from one.
The pattern was a freebie design by Lizzie Kate http://www.lizziekate.com/free.html

Birds in a Tree project

This is my "in process" small project. Two are stitched with two to go. Each one will be a different color. I'm planning on turning them into long mini pillows.
The pattern is a freebie that can be found at http://cargaudlabrico.canalblog.com/
I've sectioned my large piece of fabric into 4 and thread gridded so that I can keep each tree centered in it's own section.

"Square in Square Brown" - up date

I've opted to try and make a biscornu. The back is now done and everything is cut to the size I want. Now I just have to have at it and see how it turns out. I bought what I thought were some very pretty buttons but they don't look so hot with the pattern :(
I'm also working on my PIF projects. Two are stitched with one to go, then I just have to decide how to finish them off.
I bought some pretty fabric for my Stofnest Sampler #9. Just waiting for it to dry so I can decide how to use it.
