Airing out some of my antique textiles

All made by my grandmothers and great aunts. I do have colors but I just felt like sharing some of the white/cream/ecru ones :)

  4. Those are just gorgeous! I love the Filet Crochet pieces, just wonderful!

My MIL gave me some that either she had made or her mother had made. I have them carefully stored with acid free tissue paper because we have 6 cats and a 2 yr old, so I don't want to put them out yet.

  5. What a treasure trove. I had a granny that crocheted...but the girls (other than my mom) got everything...none of the aunties ever took up handwork or sewing. I'm the only grandaughter that did.

  6. WOW!! What a treasure trove, indeed. My husband's aunt, God rest her soul, made a set of crocheted pieces for us for our wedding. At the time, I admit I thought the purple & orange colors were an odd combo, but I treasure them. I wish I had some of my grandmother's work.

  7. Thank you for sharing the photos of your lovely pieces. My mother was one of 5 girls. Four of them crocheted and I have some of their pieces that I treasure.

  8. Oh those are GORGEOUS!!! I love those and I am so drawn to those neutral colors. How lucky to have inherited those! I love your birds in a tree stitchery too. That is so cute!
